National Football League. American sports league
With the many injuries to big stars this season in the NFL, it’s certainly a mystery to know who is still out there and playing as we edge closer and closer to the postseason. I wonder if this game of … Continue reading The Week 15 NFL Thread Asks “Are You A Quarterback?”
Thursday Night Football has tended to give us “classic” games, but often for irony-based reasons. Nothing describes that more than Steelers/Browns on Nov. 21, 2024. A true snow vortex game where attempted field goals went into the void never to … Continue reading The NFL Week 14 Thread Experiences Whiteout Conditions
At the moment I type this, I wish you a happy Thanksgiving! I hope your experience is positive, no matter if you’re visiting extended family, having just a casual dinner with your own family or just treating yourself for the … Continue reading The NFL Week 13 Thread Eats, Eats, Eats
Let it be known that graphic design is my passion. Welcome to Week 12 of the NFL season! As the season continues on, there’s frankly less to say. Some teams still have some work to do to make the postseason, … Continue reading The Week 12 NFL Thread Turns To Self-Help
Welcome to yet another season of the National Football League! Last season I did a silly thread gimmick of quarterback numbers tied to corresponding weeks of the season, and clearly something different has to happen this year. But for now, … Continue reading The Week 1 NFL Thread Needs A Gimmick
We’ve made it to this year’s version of The Big Game, the final game of the NFL season. And between two teams loved by millions! *is whispered something in earpiece* In lieu of a topic theme this week, I was … Continue reading The Super Bowl LIX Thread Hopes Both Teams Have A Good Time Out There
The Super Bowl is about football, yes, but it’s also about the build-up, the half-time show (this year by Kendrick Lamar) and those crucial cinema trailers and expensive adverts. Whilst a game thread will be up shortly, here’s a place … Continue reading Super Bowl LIX: The Build-Up, The Half-time Show, The Adverts!
Let’s be honest here. Did you forget there were two games today with all the nonsense that has happened in the NFL concerning coaching changes? You have the Bears making a good choice but ultimately likely botching it because…they are … Continue reading The NFL Conference Championship Thread Is Ignored Due To Coaching Drama
Your loyal topic creator/leader and Vikings fan would like to say that they are at peace with last week’s implosion, as much as Sam Darnold essentially caused his future earnings to shrink by at least half. It was either going … Continue reading The NFL Divisional Playoffs Thread Needs To Learn How To Use Photoshop
Welcome to the final week of the NFL regular season! If you haven’t picked it up from the previous 17 weeks this season, I am not a fan of Kirk Cousins. In fact, I am deeply amused how much of … Continue reading The Week 18 NFL Thread Does Not Endorse Pizza Ranch
The Bills’ Josh Allen is the clear winner in this week’s NFL thread (and life in general, let’s be honest) when it comes to active quarterbacks wearing #17. But others who wear the numbers could be either a Josh or … Continue reading The Week 17 NFL Thread Is Over Both Joshs And Allens
Trevor Lawrence and Jared Goff are this week’s stars who wear this week’s number, and the other two folks who wear #16? Not sure you could pick them off the street. Want to take a guess who these people are? … Continue reading The Week 16 NFL Thread Didn’t Make Up Two Of These Guys, Honest
Week 15 provides us five active quarterbacks wearing #15, with one particular player in question providing the inspiration for the topic this week. So obviously the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes is elite. All elite. The most possible elite. But has the … Continue reading The Week 15 NFL Thread Runs The Gamut Of Elite
There are only two active quarterbacks who wear #14, so please forgive me breaking the glass for a silly joke that may or may not upset Jets fans. Sorry, Jets fans. At least we have two interesting players wearing the … Continue reading The Week 14 NFL Thread Might Be Haunted
#13 is also a pretty limited number for quarterbacks, with Brock Purdy (above) sharing it with another fellow QB on the west coast, backup Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett. Three games on Thanksgiving, a ghastly looking game on Friday and some … Continue reading The Week 13 NFL Thread Is Ready For Turkey Day (And Sunday Leftovers)
I have generally made myself stick to active players when searching for/creating the weekly header image, and it just so happens that there is ONE (1) active quarterback in the NFL that wears #12. That would be Nick Mullens, currently … Continue reading The Week 12 NFL Thread Is The Loneliest Number
I was afraid that 11 would not be a number generally used by quarterbacks, but those who are wearing #11 this season actually provide a great narrative. Former starters turned journeymen, all have their stories. Some funnier than others. Some … Continue reading The Week 11 NFL Thread Takes A Journey
We are all about the number 9 this week, so why not bring up the Sega Dreamcast, famously launched in North America on September 9, 1999? SEGA’s NFL 2K series was the one series that realistically challenged EA’s Madden franchise … Continue reading The Week 9 NFL Thread Is Thinking
