I know they would never do it because money over player safety, but once upon a time the NFL season was 18 weeks long with teams receiving two bye weeks. With the sheer number of injuries lately, wouldn’t that improve play way more than an additional game? There would be possibly less chance of situations like say….Josh Johnson (yes, him!) starting a NFL game in 2025!
