Greetings everyone!
There have certainly been whispers about this for a while but it’s time for the official announcement. With Giftmas coming to a close and the end of the year fast approaching, we are bringing back our annual awards celebration, The Pits. You all have already seen that thread with The Kappa heading it up, but I am helping out with something in conjunction with that effort.
In an effort to keep end of the year Top 10s (or Top 25s, or Top 50s, or whatever) in check on the site as well as give The Avocado a chance to pick their favorite media of 2017, we will be debuting a series of posts which will allow everyone to post their personal lists. The winners will be announced alongside the other winners of The Pits and will be calculated by adding up your lists (10 points for first, 9 for second, etc. with 5 per awarded for unranked Top 10 lists). The threads will be hosted by your fellow Avocados who were chosen because they have been running threads dedicated to each subject all year (or because they were me). This thread will be pinned to the front and updated with links as each thread is posted. You can also follow all updates on The Pits tag.
Please keep your lists contained to these threads and do not open up your own or fill up the OT with them. The winners will be announced on 12/20 alongside all the other winners of The Pits including all these) will be announced. Voting will be cut off some time on 12/20 so make sure to cast your ballot before then. So let me know what you all think and I’m excited to kick this all off!
