Alright, folks, welcome to The Pits 2017: Podcast Edition! I was asked to host this because I’ve been doing Pod People (formerly Podmass) for almost the entire time The Avocado has existed. I know this category will be a tough one for myself and for all the podcast fans here. Podcasts are powerful things: they can make us cry, infuriate us, and also make us laugh so hard we embarrass ourselves on the train. This is your opportunity to honor the podcasts you’ve loved the most this year. This category includes ALL podcasts: comedy or political, fiction or non, so make your choices carefully. Or don’t, I’m not the boss of you.

Cast your ballots here for your top ten podcasts of 2017 for what will hereinafter be named the Tompkins Award for Best Podcast*. I’ll post my own list below to get us started.
