Note: I messed up when scheduling this article, so it may be difficult to access it through your notifications.
Japan Festival Boston is taking place on the 27th from 11:00 to 5:00 in Boston Common, which is accessible from Park Street Red Line/Green Line as well as Boylston Street and Arlington on the Green Line. You can also get there from Downtown Crossing on the Red Line/Orange Line or Chinatown on the Orange Line, though it is a bit more of a walk. I am not sure about parking. I would…assume that it is ADA compliant, but I am not sure. The website is here. Personally, I will be driving into Alewife station and taking the Red Line to Park Street.
While we can arrive whenever we want to, I suppose that 2:30 would be a good time to gather. Maybe we can meet at the Park Street exit.
I am guessing that the Festival has several things, so we do not necessarily have to all stay together for the entire time. In fact, we can probably leave to a second location separately if some of us feel like it, though maybe we should all get there by 4:30 or 5:00. There are many bars around the area and even some elsewhere. We definitely need to pick one, though, at least initially. It is suggested that we go to Rock Bottom, which is a couple of blocks south of Boylston Station. As long as you are not wearing a banana suit, you should probably be fine. We might need to make a reservation, but I am not sure if we need to be exact with our numbers or how far in advance we will have to do so
I am not sure how many of you are totally in or maybe in or not in. Things can happen in two weeks that either free you up or tie you down. I would, personally, be ticked off if I suddenly was unable to go, but it could happen. So…I will maybe just keep this thread like it is and you can say yes whenever you are certain that you can and want to come…and then take it back if you have to. Or, also the tentative maybes, whatever. I will try to see if I can get this pinned closer to the day.
