Welcome to Giftmas! At this point, you should know who your giftee is. EXCITEMENT!

If you don’t know who your giftee is, check your email! If you still don’t know, then you should probably email us (avocadogiftexchange (at) gmail (dot) com) 😅 But assuming everything went smoothly…the fun can begin! A few things to keep in mind…

🥑 Remember, this is a Secret Santa situation, so you shouldn’t say who your giftee is, and you shouldn’t post anything that will give away the surprise! Don’t put your username on the package you send or in any cards you include with your gift.

🥑 Take a moment to consider when you need to have your gift shipped for it to arrive at its destination in time for Giftmas. As a reminder, this year’s Giftmas is Sunday, December 13th. This means that your gift needs to arrive by December 12th at latest. Okay? Okay!

🥑 Start brainstorming gift ideas! You should have a list of helpful details provided by your giftee, but if not (or if you still need more ideas) we’ve got you covered. Don’t panic!

🎁 Visit this year’s Introduce Yourself thread! While this is an Avocado-wide thread, we especially encourage all Giftmas participants to post something about themself there because it might be useful for your gifter. Don’t share more than you’re comfortable with, of course, but even little details can be surprisingly helpful! Plus, it’s just fun to get to know each other better.

🎁 Keep an eye on this thread! If you’re a gift-giving expert, feel free to post tips, suggestions, and/or success stories of Giftmases past. If you’re totally stumped, this is also the place to ask questions of the group – and hopefully get some answers! Also, you can use this space to post more ideas for your gifter if you suddenly remembered something that they might find useful.
