Whether you’ve been here since the beginning, joined us this year, or have never posted before today, this is the thread to introduce yourself! The Avocado is a wonderful community full of interesting people, but we don’t always cross paths with everyone because we have so many different threads on the site. This is a chance to get know each other a little better!

Here are some question/ideas to get you started, but as always there is no need to share beyond your comfort level, or to pressure other people into sharing beyond theirs. 💖

• What’s the origin of your avatar / username / online persona?
• @:disqus username (particularly useful for those of you who have a holiday username right now!)
• Demographic info, pronouns, family, pets, etc.
• What brought you to the Avocado?
• Where do you hang out on the site?
• Hobbies & pop culture interests
• If there’s a real world skill you could wake up knowing with no effort on your part, what would it be?
• If you could have a fictional character for your friend, who would you choose?
• What’s a thing you like that you wish more people knew about? This could be anything, a movie, food (ingredient or specific dish), book, song, rare insect, ancient folklore, etc.
• Anything else you want to share!
