As I type this, the World Series and the NBA season are about to start.  And the current controversies about both, more the one involving the Astros than the one involving China, are leaving very bad tastes in my mouth.  I get that we all want our sports to somehow permit us to ignore the real world.  But just this moment, it’s not happening for me.  Maybe once the games start, things will change.  For now…for now being a sports fan is pretty hard if you also feel like doing the right thing matters.  Maybe it’s always been.

Anyway, we’re here to talk sports, so please discuss whatever action on the field is bringing you joy or at least release.
