Werewolf 100: The One Hundreding – Signups!

The year is 2019, but sometimes it is 2029, or 2003. The Werewolf Cinematic Universe has new additions daily, from the murder-happy corporate bakers of Culinary TV™ to the brand-new neon sadists of Wonderland. Everyone is having a lovely time dying and killing each other, and at a faster speed than ever before!

Across the WCU, there are tens of individual storylines going on, some serious, most of them wacky. All of them feature the same general concept: an informed minority determined to wipe out the majority. There may be hidden powers given to the majority to give them a slight advantage, there may be events thrown in, and there may be some touching story moments thrown in, but at its core, the game is always Werewolf.

But you knew that, right? That’s why you’re here.

Remember all of those dead people? They’re fine! Most of the dead resurrect in an existentially haunting purgatory/cozy break room colloquially known as “The Graveyard”. Those who decide not to return to spectate or join another game are left to an eternity of coffee, vaguely stale pastries, and chairs that hurt to sit in. Though, lately, the room has been getting a bit crowded.

And by crowded, we mean “several thousand comments” crowded.

With the massive influx of new people to usher into games, games have gotten bigger. Bigger games mean more shitposts, more walls of text, more analysis, more reaction gifs. More everything. The indulgence of the players has not gone unnoticed by the overlords of this Universe.

The many lands of the Werewolf Cinematic Universe all lie on the back of one faceless entity who has become tired of our ceaseless fuckery: Disqus. They, like a vengeful god, have taken notice of our hubris, and they are not pleased. The general populace of the WCU are expecting them to take action. The tension is building, but no action has been taken against us.

Yet.

Welcome to Werewolf 100: The One Hundreding! When you sign up below, please split into either “Team 1” or “Team 2.” If you don’t have a preference, we’ll randomly assign you a team, but we encourage you to choose! We will do the best that we can to update the team list, but we may be behind. When you play the game, you will go to either the “Team 1 Thread” or the “Team 2 Thread,” which will both be posted at the same time. That’s right, this is two games in one! Eventually, the teams will merge, merging the respective wolves and townies with each other. This is going to be a pretty long game, so stick with us!

Each team has 20 players, and will have…

  • 1 Town Investigator – gives a result of “Wolf” or “Not Wolf”
  • 1 Town Jailer – protects person from nightkill and using their role
  • 2 Lovers – share a QT, if one dies so will the other
  • 1 Wolf Roleblocker – blocks person from using their role
  • 3 Vanilla Wolves
  • 1 Serial Killer
  • 11 Vanilla Town

Each game day will also have one-shot roles that will be assigned randomly, either to town or scum. They will not be killing or investigative roles; instead, they will be fun day-themed roles to shake up each day. (You’ll see what we mean.)

People must play as a character they have already used! They might be able to return to one of their past games at some point…

Additionally, by signing up you have earned a spot in our Werewolf Compliments Thread! You will be randomly assigned a fellow player to write a nice compliment about. Talk about past games, that time you killed your friend in cold blood, a silly inside joke, whatever! You’re also free to write to anyone else you’d like! We thought WW100 would have to have some sentimental value 🙂

Also, if you’re new and want to sign up, Lindsay’s running a newbie game concurrently with this one! We think that it’d be better to start there, rather than throw yourself into this hellish amalgam of games.
