The first Democratic primary debates occurred last night. A battle royale of candidates, some who will definitely have a chance at the White House and some who will most certainly not. I’d say something about participation trophies but that would be gauche so I will just leave it at this.

Elsewhere! The NRA continues to fracture and fall apart. It was recently announced that production of NRATV will end. Couldn’t happen to a nicer, less agitproppy arm of the state. Also, the NRA’s top lobbyist is resigning after it was revealed wait for it–after he was discovered participating in an extortion scheme! Good guys with guns, everyone.

Paul ‘Paulie Walnuts’ Manafort is due to be arraigned tomorrow at 2:15 in Manhattan Criminal Court. For crimes.

Trump called Maria Batiromo melting down for ten minutes on air. It’s pretty damn crazy, even by crazy grandpa president standards. Normally, I’d advise limiting your exposure to his unhinged braying, but it’s almost like you can hear the brain oozing out of his ears here.
