Since I will be sans internet at home for a few days I won’t be able to hear the latest horrible thing that’s happening in the world and mildly make fun of it. But I’m going to take a wild guess that things aren’t magically fixed between Friday as I write this and Monday when it posts for y’all.

So instead of some levity here’s a reminder that even though things are pretty fucking awful, we don’t have to make it worse for anyone while we’re venting/discussing/reacting to it here. There are plenty of odious women in the spotlight right now, but when you use sexist slurs to talk about them you’re hurting more than just your intended target. The same goes for racial minorities and a host of other groups. No one really choses their facial features or body type and when we mock people for those features that mockery spills over into others. So lets keep our mockery to the truly awful thoughts, words, beliefs and choices these people make and leave their looks, clothing, gender etc out of it. We’re all adults here, we should be able to call each other out if we slip, and be understanding and accepting when we’re called out. Be best to each other Avocados.

And don’t threaten Mayor McSquirrel!
