Werewolf 62 – Werewolves in Neverland – Day Two

“It is only make-believe, isn’t it?”

Piggy’s words had left everyone with an uneasy feeling. As they went off to bed, they wished they had a mother to tell them a bedtime story. Someone to cradle them and tell them that everything was going to be fine. Surely Peter would not actually want them to kill each other, right? The Wolf would return in the morning and everyone would laugh. Yes. That had to be it.

One child was certain that, make-believe or not, he would be the one to solve the case! After the others had fallen asleep, Angus McDonald grabbed his Big Book of Clues and set out. He decided to start at the scene of the crime: Crocodile Creek. The Crocodile was ticking peacefully in his sleep near the shore, but Angus was not afraid. He thought the Adults might have left behind a clue, and as he bent down to inspect a suspicious rock, he heard a twig snap behind him. He turned around in a flash and attempted to cast Mage Hands. But, alas, his roll was too low. Before he could say another word, three figures had thrown him into the creek just in time to give the Crocodile a midnight snack.

Angus McDonald is dead. He was a LOST CHILD (TOWN)

Nearby, another amateur detective was out looking for clues. Peter Pan had given Jolly Thud Butt an important job, and he was not going to disappoint him. The moment he heard the peaceful snoring of the other Lost Children, he set out to follow a set of suspiciously large footprints he had seen earlier. As he inspected the footprints, he pretended to twirl an invisible mustache.

“Ah, verrrrry interesting! My little grey sells are working now!”

Of course, they were not working. The footprints were his own, and he did not even hear the slight jingle of a bell that could have warned him of his impending doom. His body was dragged off to the creek and fed to the Crocodile.

Jolly Thud Butt is dead. He was the INSPECTOR (TOWN)

In the morning, as the sun rose and blanketed Neverland with a warm glow, the Lost Children slowly began to wake up. Most of them had completely forgotten the game. Until they saw the drag marks leading to the creek and noticed that two of them were missing. Near the creek they found Angus’s Big Book of Clues with teeth marks in it. Shaking, Piggy adjusted his glasses and said what they were all thinking.

“I…I don’t think this is make-believe!”

14 12 Lost Children (Vanilla Town)
1 Mother (Town Jailkeeper)
1 Inspector (Town Cop)
3 Adults (Vanilla Wolves)
1 Tinker Bell (Serial Killer)

A word of caution: It is quite impossible to say how time does wear on in the Neverland, where it is calculated by moons and suns, and there are ever so many more of them than on the mainland.  Some days might be shorter than others, and because of Peter’s strong imagination things that were impossible before have now become possible. I would not be a bit surprised if one of the Lost Children woke up one morning to find that they have grown up!

The rules are fairly simple. There is Day and there is Night. During the Day, all players will chat in the open thread. You will have until Twilight to vote to kill one of your fellow players. The player who receives a majority vote (or who has the most votes by Twilight) will be fed to the Crocodile. If a majority is reached before official Twilight, the Day will automatically end (even if your delightful narrator is not here to call Twilight). In the case of a tie, the Crocodile’s victim will be decided by fate (coin flip).

Place your vote by replying to the Vote Thread. To change your vote, make a new comment by replying to the Vote Thread again. If you want to retract your vote entirely, you can change to “No Vote”. You can also vote for “No Lynch” if you don’t want anyone to be fed to the Crocodile. Votes made after Twilight will not be counted.

During the Night, the Mother, the Inspector, and Tinker Bell will choose targets in their personal QTs. The Adults will choose a target in their shared QT.

Jailing happens first, then investigation, and then the killing. If a player is jailed they cannot be killed, investigated, or grow up that night. If the Investigator is jailed they cannot investigate. If Tinker Bell is jailed they cannot kill. The Mother cannot jail themselves or the same player two nights in a row.

Lost Children win when all Adults and Tinker Bell are dead. The Adults win when the Lost Children and Tinker Bell are eliminated (or when math tells us its inevitable). Tinker Bell wins when they outlive everyone else.

Please note that you will need to make a handful of game-related comments per Day (three to six at least). Your humble narrator has been told that Peter feels very sad and angry when people don’t play, so you will become the Crocodile’s lunch if you don’t participate. Roleplaying is encouraged but not required.

NO EDITING OR DELETING for any reason, including typos.

Directly quoting or screenshotting QT is not allowed.

Remember to have fun! This is a game of murder, but it is still just a game. 🙂
