Titus and Hadrian returned from the hidden passageways splattered with Sabina’s blood and brains. Disgusted, Felix ordered the guards to at last unlock the doors of his manor, in these early morning hours, and ordered the gladiators to wash themselves in his garden. He knew that one rogue yet remained hidden amongst their ever smaller group of individuals, but with the loss of Fabiola and Sabina, he felt they had nowhere left to hide and would soon be uncovered. He calmly looked out from his balcony over the manor’s garden, soaking in the rays of sunshine and breathing easily for the first time in many hours. With his back turned from the entryway, he was not on guard when a cloaked individual strode in from behind, bearing the mighty gladius of the late Brutus. Felix heard their footsteps, looked down to see no one but the guards standing inattentive in his garden, and glanced back, only able to utter, “It was you?!” before the blade swung cleanly through his neck with great force, and the ambitious Lanista’s severed head tumbled down onto his garden’s grass.

I will be flexible with regards to your language, its modernity versus RP-appropriateness, as long as everyone remains committed to role-playing and remaining firmly in character throughout. The psychology and motivations of your characters take greater priority over approximation of period language.
