We’ve had tournaments on the best Disney songs, and the best Disney villains, but I felt like it was time to finally go for the biggie, and have a tournament to decide which is the best film in the Disney Animated Canon (which is a fancy way of referring to the animated feature films produced by Walt Disney Animation).

Specifically, I felt like this was the best time for it because at this moment there are exactly 64 films in the canon – so no need for a nomination round, or to stagger the brackets so some films sit out a round or two. We can just put all the films into one neat little chart – which means a lot less work for me!

Though even then, doing thirty-two matchups in one round is still a lot of work. So I’ll be breaking the first round up into four quarters, with eight matchups each – the first today, the second later this week, and the other two the following week.

Standard tournament rules apply: upvote the films you want to see continue on to the next round – downvotes do nothing.
