At this trying time of political strife at home and abroad, only one thing has the potential to bring us all together – finding out which Disney villain is the greatest of them all!

What are the rules?

• Any villain that appears in a film or television programme produced or distributed by Disney qualifies – this means you could nominate:
  • Any Pixar or Touchstone villain.
  • A Muppets villain from after 2004 (although I will also accept characters from Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island).
  • A Marvel villain from after 2009.
  • A Star Wars villain from after 2012.
  • A Fox Searchlight villain from after 2019.
• I will not be accepting any villains that were iconic before they were acquired by Disney, so no nominating Darth Vader or Mr. Burns!
• Any MCU villain is fine, and I will accept characters like the Winter Soldier that eventually redeem themselves and stop being antagonists.
• Obviously, this means a lot of characters are potentially eligible, so I will be taking the nominations with the most upvotes – the top hundred or so – and entering them into the next round.

• EDITED TO ADD: you can nominate villains together if they form part of a team – for example, the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus or the Hyenas from The Lion King.
