Notable Releases from 10, 20, and 30 years ago:
Some light notable release commentary. I have never played Uncharted 4, sorry. I think New Super Mario Bros. is fine, nothing special, but I appreciate that it would eventually lead to the delightful Super Mario Wonder. Super Mario RPG is one of the greatest video games of all-time and was a heck of a way to send off the Super Nintendo, as the N64 was just four short months away.
In notable films, I absolutely loved Keanu and I wish Key & Peele would do another project together. I remember being super excited to see Mission: Impossible III in theatres because I was such a huge fan of J.J. Abrams. If you’re expecting me to say something like “…but it sucked, LOLZ…”, well, the joke’s on you; I fucking LOVED it. The Craft is a 90’s classic and such a product of its time. I just attended Bat’s Day and Disneyland which is, basically, “Goth Day”, and I can’t help but think that many of the people around my age who attended must have gotten their first taste of the goth lifestyle from The Craft, which is either “totally cool” or “totally lame”, depending on your level of cynicism.
In notable albums, I couldn’t care less about Views by Drake; sorry. It might be lame to admit this on The Avocado, but I really like Red Hot Chili Peppers and I think that three of the singles off of Stadium Arcadium, “Dani California”, “Tell Me Baby”, and “Snow (Hey Oh)” are certified 2000’s bangers. I wish I could get into Pantera so that I could praise The Great Southern Trendkill, but I’m just not that into it. Ask me how I feel about them in another ten years.
