The top teams will be chickening out this week, so don’t hold your breath for some great games. Don’t hold your breath anyway, but especially not for that. #3 Texas A&M hosts the mighty Samford, #4 Georgia hosts Charlotte, #10 Alabama hosts Eastern Illinois, and #17 Texas plays lowly Arkansas, though I guess that’s a conference game that couldn’t be avoided. #1 Ohio State hosts Rutgers – do we have to put our faith in Rutgers for an upset? It’s not all parched landscape today – #22 Missouri goes to #8 Oklahoma in what really should be a Big 12 conference game, deep in the cold cold ground, etc. I trust neither of these teams, so we’re in for a great or lousy game. #15 USC travels to #7 Oregon in what’s probably the best match of the day. Syracuse on paper looks to get blown out by Notre Dame…or will they? Finally, Duke goes to Chapel Hill to hopefully continue UNC’s Belichick Misery. UNC not even making a bowl game would be one of the best gifts we could receive after their relentless preseason hype, so throw your support behind Duke today to help make that a reality.

But the real Carolina Brawl goes down between South Carolina and Coastal Carolina. Today, we settle this.
