Typed ‘The Friday Politics Thread,’ watched some of Schumer on Boy Maddow, did some upvoting, typed ‘Keeps Getting Distracted,’ watched more of Schumer, restrained myself from throwing something at the tv, got some juice, took a bathroom break, calculated the number of days until midterms to make a comment, made the comment, and here we are. As of Thursday night, it’s looking like the Republican CR is gonna pass, so…shit. The Capitol is dead to me right now, so have a picture of the back of the Smithsonian Castle instead.

It gets hot under the lights on the Disqus stage (made some more upvotes, finished juice), so let’s keep our cool, be nice to our mods and fellow commenters (had to correct spelling of ‘commenters,’ stared at the wall realizing I never which words are ‘ors’ and which are ‘ers’, bit theinside of my lip, stared at the wall wondering how the hell that keeps happening), and not threaten Mayor McSquirrel or anyone else (oh, it’s probably because I don’t wear my retainers as much as I should so my teeth keep moving around).
