30 Day VILLAINS challenge, day 29: Best/Worst villain defeat/come-uppance

Welcome to another 30 day challenge which in honor of spooky season will cover the topic of Pop Culture Villains!

As the month draws to a close, it seems fitting to discuss Endings, and for many stories, the ending is synonymous with the villains defeat (barring The Villain Wins stories, which is a prompt for another time).
A villains defeat can be physical or philosophical, definitive or temporary, but whether we’re talking villains getting exploded, captured, dumped or fired, the main prompt of today is: What are the most memorable villain defeats? What are their most satisfying, fun, or poignant ends?

CALL FOR 30DAY CHALLENGE HOSTS: With the month wrapping up and my time/energy getting limited, please state or consider if anyone would like taking over hosting duties for these challenges.

Bonus Prompt: What otherwise good villain had the most underwhelming ending? And what villains suffered outsized consequences for their actions, to the point it felt mean spirited?

Maniacal prompt: Best and worst cases of the villain bringing upon their own end?

Machiavellian Prompt: Best/worst cases of a seemingly definitive defeat of a villain being undone?
