SNL reaches its half-century mark, a milestone I’m sure it will be very chill and humble about! On tonight’s premiere it’s a 76th Primetime Emmy Awards Reunion, as Best Actress in a Comedy winner Jean Smart hosts with In Memoriam Reel singer Jelly Roll as Musical Guest.

Did you know: at 73, Smart will become the fourth oldest person to ever host SNL, after Betty White (88 in 2010), Miskell Spillman (80, a grandmother and winner of the “anyone can host” contest in 1977), and actress Ruth Gordon (also hosted in 1977).
