Good news, everyone! The September challenge is gonna be Futurama themed!

Today is gona be about Tone, which is a scale on which Futurama can express tremendous variability from one episode to the next, or even within the same episode. Sometimes Futurama can be glib and cynical, casually dispatching a character for a gag, other times it can be tremendously sentimental, making the emotional bonds between characters the focal point of a story.
So, todays prompt is, do you prefer Futurama to be cynical or sentimental? Any episodes that straddles the line perfectly?
