The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family was a book published in 1997. It was an extremely comprehensive guide to the show that covered every episode of the eight seasons that existed then. Each episode had one page and sometimes two dedicated to it, crammed with as much information as they could fit – character profiles, quotes, references explained, errors pointed out… In the days before DVD commentary tracks and wikis, this was easily the best source of information available on the show. I had this book and read it obsessively, to the point where (thanks to the lousy binding) some of the pages actually fell out. The book was a success and spawned three follow-ups: The Simpsons Forever, The Simpsons Beyond Forever, and The Simpsons One Step Beyond Forever, each covering an additional two seasons of the show.
This Reddit post has pictures of some pages, if anyone wants a glimpse inside.
Have a great night, everyone!
