Optional discussion Prompt: Changing Allegiances

Last week we talked about antagonists, and I think we’ve talked a bunch about protagonists, but what about characters who switch sides, or seem to have mysterious agendas all their own? Do you have any of those? Do you find it interesting to write more morally ambiguous characters, or do you prefer clear lines between good and bad?
