Today, let’s talk about beasts. And I’m not talking about Hank McCoy. I’m talking about big ol’ wild animals in film. Ever since a wild ape found a Fay Wray, the allure of creatures in film have not abated. They can be ruthless. You can’t reason with them. At the same time…. they ARE animals. Even if they chomp down on your friends, you can’t be completely mad at them. After all, they were only following their nature.

Films have features a lot of scary animals, from anacondas to alligators to wolves.

And… bunnies.

And… killer shrews.

I know there’s a pretty big one that I’m forgetting. Something big that lives in the water that has rows of sharp teeth. A movie that came out in the 70’s where the creature attacks a boat. What was it called….

… oh, right. Orca.
