These are admittedly controversial and I still have some reservations about how particular pieces of footage are used in commercial advertising without the actual person’s consent. But, when you leave things to an estate to manage, this is what happens. When it comes to the use of duets and inclusion in modern music, I’ll admit that I’m not quite as strongly against it because there have been some fascinating pairings that work as you take older recordings of singers and pair them with someone in the here and now.
How do you feel about these types of blendings and, if you do like them, which one is your favorite?
Strangely, the pairing of Frank Sinatra and Seal hit a sweet spot for me that I didn’t expect with just how closely they sound similar.
