The Senate did what we thought it would do. Trump has been acquitted. The lack of moral rectitude on display is frankly staggering. What’s scary is what will be coming down the pipe now. Trump now knows that no Republican will hold him accountable. Most, if anything, will shake their heads and slap him on the wrist. Like Susan Collins

Susan Collins, (Senator from Maine up for reelection, ride her out on a rail Mainers) hopes he learned his lesson. This line of thinking is either deliriously delusional or trolling at this point in Hellworld.
So yes, Republicans, all of the Republicans in the Senate voted acquit the President of extorting foreign countries for his own political gain.
Oh, wait there seems to have been one Republican who voted to convict. Ah yes. Who would dare risk those damning tweets from His Tiny Fingers?
Yes! It’s Senator Mittens “Mitt” Romney arriving at the very last second to do the absolute bare minimum! Romney is now number one with a bullet on the Trump Shit List for daring to even do this. In a more just world, this is what we would have expected of everyone involved, but hey, this is Hellworld, I’ll give it to him.
Ya did good, Mittens. You may now celebrate with some Nachos, Romney-style.
Meanwhile! The unending nonsense that is the Iowa Caucus continues where it now appears that Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders are tied for first place. Bernie appears to be pulling ahead in terms of raw number of votes. Hooray! I’m sure this will satisfy Bernie’s Twitter Stans whom will no longer accuse anyone of trying to rig the process against him.
It will all be chill now forever.
Now let’s move on to the New Hampshire primary where some people can lose properly and some people will win properly and the field can finally narrow down.
Welcome to Thursday! PLEASE BE EXCELLENT TO EACH OTHER. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. The Mayor McSquirrel Rule is in effect because we’re better than him. If you notice a news item being posted too often, alert a mod so it can be pinned to the top of the thread.
