Welcome to the 4th Annual Pits Category Nominations featuring Categories and Nominations. Brought to you by a desire for ever more Upvotes. If you need to review any of the past categories, threads, or winners, you can check them out here.

Here is how this works:

1 – This topic, we review the categories. So, we aren’t looking for actual nominations for winners. Just the categories we will be nominating people to win. This is really important.

2 – On the 17th, we will be nominating candidates to win those categories with voting being calculated on the 20th.

3 – On the 23rd, we will be announcing the winners.

Again – Not looking for nominations for the awards themselves. That will come later. Just looking for categories to nominate people/things for.

I’ve condensed the timeline down to one week because last time, there really wasn’t much movement past the initial couple of days and because of that, some good late additions weren’t noticed by lots of people. So this time, we will try to have everything in a smaller window. Now is a good time to start thinking of what or who you will be nominating for these categories.

Now here is where you come in for this thread:
What categories should we add? Recommend categories we should include that highlight the community, the commenters, and what makes this place such a great and unique spot on the mean ol’  internet. Remember this portion doesn’t cover things like best movies, best books etc.

Should any categories be removed? Are they not relevant or too confusing? Should they be clarified? That sorta stuff.
