AvocaD&D and Tabletop Gaming Thread: Ghosts of Saltmarsh

Welcome back to the weekly D&D and Tabletop Gaming thread!  Here’s a place where we can talk about Dungeons & Dragons or any other tabletop games that you nerds might be into.  Tell us about the games you’re playing, speculate about future expansions, recruit your fellow Avocados into new groups, whatever you want.

Discussion topic:  What’s your favorite stat to place a low score into?  Say you rolled five decent scores, and one really low one.  Obviously depending on what class you’re planning to play, you have a choice of where that low score should go.  A Barbarian probably doesn’t need much INT, but maybe it’s more fun to play with a low CHA or WIS instead.  How would you play a character of any class with one really low stat?

We didn’t play last weekend, as a few of us were out of town.  The good news, though, is that next saturday, The Hayes Code is jumping back into the DM seat to guide us through the Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign, with the setting adjusted to a fantasy version of 1930 (similar to Wasp’s Skyhorn Lighthouse adventure we did a while back).  Some unusual incidents have been occurring near the small fishing town of Saltmarsh, and the powers that be are putting together a task force to keep the town safe.
