Werewolf 100: The One Hundreding- Day 1 (TEAM 2)

You’re welcoming the newest batch of werewolfers after their last game ended (why do they all wear skull-shaped masks?) when there’s a loud CRACK from underneath the break room floor. You all scatter to the two sides of the room, while some sprint away. “What the hell was that?!” One of you shouts.

Before any of you can respond with a sarcastic quip, something splits the break room floor in two. It sounds like glass shattering all around you. The crack spreads up the wall and the ceiling, and meets itself in the middle. You swear you can see light seeping through the floor, and a few of the brave among you step forward to look at it more closely. That ends up being a mistake.

The two halves of the breakroom buckle as if there is nothing below the tiled floor. The fissure opens further, revealing a dizzying rainbow abyss below. You’d like to observe it closer as it swirls, but you find yourself sliding closer and closer to it. You try to hold onto something, but the tables and chairs you’d use for support tumble down into the technicolor pit. The break room separates from whatever foundation still held it, and with a snap, they fall apart from each other into the rainbow abyss. You scream as the room takes you with it.

Your half of the break room lands in the outskirts of a dreary, moon-lit town patrolled by several policemen. Those of you who aren’t recovering from the fall look around for any sign of the other half of the room.

There is none. They’re gone.

Your only clue as to where you are is the slightly beaten-up welcome sign that luckily sits a few feet away from where you landed. Welcome to Avocado Town.

“Does anyone know where we are? What game is this? Is this even a game?” one of the newer werewolfers asks.

“I’ve been here before,” another replies.

This is Werewolf 37: Wolf Cops 3. And, you know, the other two, by extension.

Today, someone has been bestowed with the power of the Stumpsperson. This person can force another player to say something of their choosing, up to three sentences long. The player cannot reveal that they have been forced to say it, and we’re asking you to be cool about not hinting that you’ve been forced to say something. The stumpsperson can use this power three times today.

You all hear a mysterious teenage voice above you, echoing across the sky. “Uh, hey guys,” the voice says, less-than-ominously. You all look up in amazement.

“It’s me, Owen. You probably don’t know me, but I’ve been a part of some of your games before- I kind of watch over them from another dimension, but in a non-canon way. I’ve even run some of them, if Frasier happens to be in attendance.”

No one responds. Everyone is too baffled for words.

“We’re called Mods! …I’ll explain later. Look, I’m trying to help you. All I know is that Disqus employees are trying to delete the Werewolf Cinematic Universe! They already did it on the old site, and they’re going to do it now on the new one! You all have to stop them before it’s too late. It wouldn’t be easy on your own, but there are more obstacles in your way. I know that some of you are those wretched company executives in disguise!”

You all gasp in horror, or pretend to gasp in horror if you’re a Disqus employee.

“Additionally,” continues Owen, “I have more bad news. There are mysterious forces at play, those which we don’t fully know about. In my dimension, there is an encroaching evil, ready to seize all that we hold dear, even Disqus. Kinja has threatened to seize our lifeblood before, and their supreme leader, Ernie, may lurk among you. And yet, you must challenge another horrifying evil. A friend of mine, an agent of chaos, who lost her mind when she ate too many hands. She dove into this dimension recently, betraying the Mod Code we all hold sacred– never interfere with the games. We have been unable to find her, but I have been receiving reports that she has been killing players indiscriminately, unable to satiate her hunger for hands. If Kinja Ernie does not walk among you, Spooky definitely does.”

The gasps of horror turn into quiet, yet suspicious side-eyeing.

“Your goal is to reunite with the other half of the displaced people in the break room by staying one step ahead of the Disqus employees. You will see many past games, characters, and even some of… our kind…  along the way. Oh, and if you die out here, you might die for real. We’re not too sure about that. Good luck!”

Rules

  • Town wins when all the wolves and the serial killer are defeated.
  • The wolves win when they are equal to the number of town-aligned players left.
  • Serial killer wins when it comes down to just them and one other person.
  • A tie at the end of day results in No Kill. A majority of living players voting for any one person (or No Kill) ends the day early.
  • No editing posts.
  • No quoting or screencapping from your QTs.
  • Each roled player can only use their role on a member of their own team.
  • Each day has special roles that can be given to either town or scum. These roles will reflect the day and can influence the results of the game. Once the day is over, the secret roles will be done.
  • Ol’ Pigeonpockets Pete will begin sending messages from the graveyard on Day 2. These messages are largely pointless, we just thought they would be fun.
  • At an undisclosed time, the two teams will merge together and the Wolf QTs will combine.
  • If you have any other questions about rules, please ask in QT, and we will answer publicly here.
