“Come out to the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs…”

On Christmas Eve, 1988, the Nakatomi Corporation is celebrating the holiday by throwing an extravagant office party for all employees in its brand new Los Angeles skyscraper.

But the party goes awry when a few uninvited guests stop by…

Moderator note:

This game will run through Christmas, so I am unsure how many players will be available. I have contingency plans for anywhere from 12 to 20 players… roles and number of scum will vary depending on the final number.

This will be a pretty basic game regardless! Newbies are welcome!

Regarding scheduling around the holidays: I am going to attempt to have most days run for about 24 hours, with the exception being on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. I will leave that day longer (presumably day two or day three) since I am sure several players will have other plans during those days. I do not anticipate this game running until New Year’s.

Roles:

Hans Gruber – An exceptional thief, and the leader of the wolves. Disguises himself as ordinary businessman Bill Clay if the cop runs into him. (Wolf Godfather)

Holly Gennero – The de facto leader of the hostages, after Hans shot her boss. Each night she’s allowed to escort another player to the bathroom to protect them from harm. (Town Jailer)

Sergeant Al Powell – A veteran on the force, only stuck in this situation because of some bad luck. But at least he can read between the lines. (Town Cop)

John McClane – The fly in the ointment. The monkey in the wrench. The pain in the ass. (TBD pending number of players, but most likely a Town Vigilante)

Potential roles, pending final numbers:

FBI Agent Johnson – Authorized by the United States FUCKING Government to find these wolves by any means necessary. (Town Lovers)

FBI Agent Johnson – No, the other one. (Town Lovers)

Harry Ellis – The wolves’ white knight, bubby. They don’t know it yet, but he’s exactly the help they need to get this job done. (Traitor)

Karl – Driven into a bloodthirsty rage after the death of his brother. He’s a professional, but John McClane has made this personal. (SK)

Additional rules:

  • Killed players will be roleclaimed.
  • At twilight, the player with the most votes will be day killed. Ties will result in NO KILL.
  • DO NOT EDIT POSTS! DO NOT QUOTE DIRECTLY FROM YOUR QT! Doing so may get you modkilled and end up hurting your team and the game overall.
  • Feel free to ask any questions in your personal QT or on the game thread.
  • Attack arguments, not people. Everyone has a different play-style. Be accommodating to them.

 

Sign-ups will be updated sporadically in the first comment. Sign-ups will close once we get 20 players, or at 10 pm Central time on Friday. I will post an update on roles and number of scum on Day One depending on the number of players signed up.
