A really fun platformer series is the Ratchet and Clank series. The series is about a Ratchet a Lombax( space feline thingy) and his robot friend and partner Clank. Hence the name of the series. The first game came out on the PS2 in 2002 and has had a few sequels since then. The series has been said its like playing a Pixar movie. There is continuity thought out the games yet most stand on their own as single games. They series is know for the over the top weapons used by the main character such as the Sheepinator, it turns your enemies into sheep. There is a small cast of character that stick around the whole series. Most game titles are double entendres.
Ratchet: A Lombax (No worries the games don’t know what they are either) kind of a jerk in the first one, become more of a hero as the series goes on.
Clank: A robot who is the brains of the duo and kind of smug about things, likes bad puns.
Qwark: Thought to be “The Greatest Hero in the galaxy” actually a scared, egotist that is really pretty dumb.
Dr. Nefarious: Mad robot scientist. Wants to take over the universe and kill all “Squishes” (organic life forms) he is dumb and tends to pick up signals from a overly melodramatic soap opera. He is just fun to watch.
Quick recap of the series.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Into the Nexus (2013): Deals with the emtional fallout of the last game for Ratchet and wraps up some plot threads.
In 2016 the first game was remade updated to go alone with the Ratchet and Clank movie being released, the game is fun and very pretty to watch, the movie is okay at best.
There were some spin off games, but who cares. I might do my favorite weapons in the series one day.
Have a great day and fun posting.
