This is the first entry in a weekly series that’s starting in order to try and keep low-effort hot takes from cluttering up the Politics Thread. That said, we welcome any and all takes from any and all subjects, as long as they are sufficiently hot and/or spicy. Cold takes will be flagged on sight and lukewarm takes will be given serious side-eye.

Because of the nature of the thread, consider it to have a TW for sexism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, other -isms and -phobias, and general asshattery, dumbassery, and dumbasshattery. There shouldn’t be anything too high-key, but if you’re feeling your tolerance for that sort of thing dipping, I’d proceed with caution.
