World Cup Russia 2018: Day 6, In Mo Salah We Trust

Sweden won and that’s all you can say about that game, Panamá held for a half and then were crushed and England almost tied with Tunisia but were saved by Kane and therefore the Cup is in their grasp!

And here we are at Day 6, first round of the group stage ends and the second one begins. Three matches that look pretty interesting

Group H: Colombia v Japan

Colombia hasn’t played many friendlies lately, except for a pretty disappointing 0-0 against a Salah-less Egypt. While Japan had a pretty convincing 4-2 win against Paraguay, but Paraguay isn’t in the World Cup so I wouldn’t read much into this. Colombia looks much better, with a base in James, Cuadrado and Falcao, while Japan is getting pretty old. Folks are expecting a lot from Colombia, lets see how they fare against Japan’s Fighting Spirit

Group H: Poland v Senegal

This match should be pretty good, Senegal are a wild card and Liverpool’s Mane could take them far. Poland are pretty solid though and they need to win this match to try and finish atop the group. I’ll get my popcorn for this one

Group A: Russia v Egypt

I expected Russia to win, I didn’t expect them to win by 5 goals, but even with that it’s hard to measure how good they are. Saudi Arabia were just awful. On the other hand, Egypt should have Mo Salah finally fit, they were able to contain Uruguay for most of the match without him so they have a real shot here. We’ll finally figure out both team’s strengths
