World Cup Russia 2018: Day 4, Sí Se Puede

France did what they had to do and won (they also had some help from modern tech), Argentina showed an incredible lack of ideas against a strong Icelandic wall, Perú dominated their game but Denmark had one and made it count and Croatia had a convincing victory against Nigeria

Anyway, welcome to day 4,  some interesting games today with my home country starting their uphill battle out of the death group, the ticos hoping for a miracle and Brazil taking their first step to reach the final

Group E: Serbia v Costa Rica

The ticos have a really hard group and they must win this game to have a shot. Their two last friendlies have been loses including a crushing defeat by Belgium so they’ll need an heroic night form Navas. On the other side, Serbia is an unknown commodity. This is a hard one to call

Group E: Brazil v Switzerland

Of all the current teams, Brazil appears to be the one on the best form with a particularly convincing win against Austria. Neymar looks ready and the Swiss might be their first casualty on their road to the final. The Swiss also looked good on their friendlies and we’ll see what Shaquiri can do, but it’s an almost impossible task

Group F: México v Germany

México is in disarray: injuries, scandalous parties, a lose to Denmark on their last friendly and a lack of confidence on their coach make them even least likely to be able to face the mighty Germany. Germany has looked shaky on their last two friendlies, losing to Austria and barely winning against Saudi Arabia, but they’re still the reigning champions and they’re still Germany
