What Fictional Character Makes You Angry?

I’ve been told that it’s impossible to be angry at a fictional character. I don’t think that’s true. I think if you intake enough good media, you are going to have emotions about the characters you run into. I could’ve written about any emotion, but let’s stick with anger because that’s the one whose validity was called into question.

What fictional characters make you angry?

Off the top of my head, I can think of three.

Logan from Gilmore Girls — condescending and unabashedly affluent, he’s everything that upholds the twin pillars of wealth and patriarchy in America.

Petra Arkanian in the Ender books — she starts out bold, adventurous, and with as much ambition and imagination as anyone in Ender’s crew. By the end of the series, she’s realized her true and ultimate destiny is to be a mother. While there is nothing wrong with being a mother, it’s emblematic of all of OSC’s female characters — almost every single one of them’s most important contribution ends up being as a mother. It’s almost as if OSC has some weird ideas about the purpose of women.

Takumi in the anime Nana is a womanizing jerk who Nana spends way too much time and energy obsessing over and he doesn’t deserve it.

What about you?

(I don’t wanna be a fascist, but let’s try to keep religious characters out of this, or else it could dominate the discussion in a way that makes people uncomfortable).
