Here we are, the moment we have waited four years has come, day 1 and we only get one game, sigh:

Group A: Russia v Saudi Arabia

The hosts start their, most likely, arduous journey to try to get out of Group A against one of the weakest teams in the the whole competition. Saudi Arabia’s team is made of players from their local league and are not expected to do much this World Cup, however Russia is basically a hospital right now,  and will particularly miss their striker Alexander Kokorin. Regardless, this shouldn’t be too hard for them, the real test will be Egypt (a defeat against Uruguay is basically a given).
