Mean Streets and Don’t Look Now dominate the nominations, but there’s a pretty wide variety of overlooked performances from 1973. As always, upvote as many choices as you think are deserving; the winners will receive a gold statue of Spike Lee, and will be announced next week.
One side note: I’m thinking of ending the Snubbies after 1970. The further back we go, the less people are familiar with the films, and the fewer votes we get. Yet it’s the same amount of work to set up! But if there’s enough demand, I could do another decade and see what happens. In either case, I’ll still keep holding Snubby Awards for the current year’s films in the weeks before the Academy Awards. I’ll add a discussion thread below to get your input.
