So, we have that SOLO movie recasting Han Solo witg Alden Ehrenreich.  That guy is a good actor (at least…I liked him in Hail, Caesar just fine), but Han Solo is pretty much one of the most high profile, career defining roles in movie history.  It’s a pretty dicey proposition to give a role like that to someone else.

And since we live in an age where old shit never dies, put yourself in the position of a Hollywood mover and shaker, and imagine re-casting other iconic roles.  I mean, look to Harrison Ford again; who could possible be a new Indiana Jones?

I think there is a possibility here for iconic roles based on books to have more success.  Bogart is Sam Spade, but I could imagine another actor doing something different with the role.
