1979 Snubby Awards: The Nominations

Welcome back to the Snubbies! Sorry for the week off last week, I moved across town the day before and didn’t have the time or energy. But we’re back, to dive into the auteur decade, and, sadly, a decade when I haven’t seen very many of the movies. Hopefully, enough of you will have strong enough opinions to keep this thing going for a few more years.

As always, we vote for the best films and performances from 1979 that were not nominated for an Oscar. In this round, you can suggest any non-nominated film, and upvote as many candidates as you think are deserving. Top five vote-getters will be our nominees, and we’ll vote for the winners next week, who will receive a gold statue of Spike Lee.
