Jeopardy! recap for Mon., Jan. 8 – Jaime was well behind in FJ when she surprised herself with a correct response, then immediately found DD2 and was correct.
Jaime was poised to take first place very late in the round, but responded a bit too quickly to DD3 and missed, so wound up in third going into FJ with $6,000 vs. $9,800 for Dave and $8,600 for Brandon.
DD1 – THE SPANISH INQUISITION – When people fled the inquisition, sometimes they were found guilty in absentia & burned this way (Jaime lost $600)

DD3 – NATIONAL COATS OF ARMS – This animal adorns the coat of arms of the Ivory Coast (Jaime lost $2,000)
FJ – U.S. PRESIDENTS – He became an ex-President while flying over a point 13 miles Southwest of Jefferson City, Missouri
Brandon and Jaime were correct on FJ while Dave missed, so for the second straight game Brandon came from behind to take the win with $16,600 and a two-day total of $27,401. Jamie, whose unfortunate miss on DD3 probably cost her the game, gave up her best chance at a possible Triple Stumper win with her $4,001 wager.
Triple Stumper of the day: In the “2.0” category, no one guessed the 1987 rollout bundled with Word and Excel was Microsoft Windows 2.0.
One more thing: Jaime won $100,000 on Millionaire in 2016.
