The Thursday Politics Thread Buries Its Mob Ties

In the midst of the naked avarice and contempt on display for the working class on Wednesday, we forgot to remind everyone that Trump is, and always has been, a shady crook. Like, why should you believe him about anything, ever? NYMag released an article this morning exploring the burying of a Wall Street Journal editorial that would have highlighted Trump’s mafia connections as it became increasingly likely he would become the nominee. The decision to ax the story led to the departure of five staffers from the historic paper.

Meanwhile! White House Counsel Don McGahn knew in January that Flynn probably violated the law. McGahn was looking into lying to Federal investigators about the Logan Act and he had warned Trump. This would also be before Trump told Comey to let the Flynn thing go.

But, to top it all off, the Republican party is still perfectly willing to kiss the Orange criminal hack-fraud’s gargantuan ass, because they got their monster tax bill through.

“You’re one heck of a leader, and we’re all benefiting from it.” said Orrin Hatch–and-heap-praise-on-trump/2017/12/20/8f55f638-e5c7-11e7-ab50-621fe0588340_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_trumpdebrief1008pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.83acdfaca6bf

Yes, you are Orrin. Yes, you are.

Fffffffffffffffffffff– I’m angry now.

Welcome to Thursday!

Mayor McSquirrel Rule is in effect. Don’t wish harm on him, though you can tell him to go straight to hell, if that’s useful.
