I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.
We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.
Elated at having helped bag an Übermensch, Phryne Fisher was unable to sleep that night and paced back and forth in her cabin. Having some experience in solving mysteries, she was sure she had discovered another rat on this balled up cruise. But what could she do about it? Normally she’d handle the problem herself with her trusty pearl-handled pistol, but regrettably she’d used the last bullet to shoot Billy Zane’s decapitated corpse in a fit of pique over not having gotten to him first. Frustrated, she kicked over her valise, then knelt, grumbling, to replace its scattered contents. She stopped suddenly, and a satisfied grin spread over her face. She hopped to her feet, dusted off her dressing gown, and slipped out the door. Miss Fisher was not the only passenger out and about that evening, however; her furtive progress through the ship was tracked with interest by another passenger, who crept along behind her, curious as to her activities. In her hurry to return to her cabin, Miss Fisher grew careless. By the time she noticed the figure lurking in the shadows, it was too late to defend herself, or even to scream.
Meanwhile, the formidable Maggie Brown was on a mission of her own. Victorious in her quest, she carried the bottle of whiskey she’d snagged out onto the deck to enjoy the night air and a cocktail . . . or two. As she arranged herself comfortably in a lounge chair and poured herself a generous helping of spirits, she looked up at the clear night sky and reflected on another voyage she’d taken not so long ago. “I don’t know what I was thinking, getting on another damned boat,” she muttered to herself. “Oh well, I survived that trip, and I’ll survive this one too!” “I wouldn’t be so sure of that, dear Molly,” a voice crooned behind her. A merciless blow struck the back of her head, followed by another, and another, and another. Somehow she remained conscious, even crawling across the deck towards a patch of light from a nearby door, where perhaps help could be found. Irritated, her killer grabbed her ankles, dragged her to the rail, and heaved her over. The great splotches of blood soaking into the chair and deck would reveal her fate well enough, and the murderer was curious to see how unsinkable she truly was.
the good king snugglewumps is dead. She was a true Patriot, an Eavesdropper, and a Viper.
The Unsinkable Admirax is dead. She was a true Patriot and a Medium.

Each player began the game with a one-shot power (meaning a power that can be used only once during the game). These powers vary widely in nature and scope, and some have an expiration date. Some powers may have unpredictable consequences. One-shot powers can be day or night powers (as specified in individual QTs), and some one-shot powers cannot be blocked.
A player’s faction and one-shot power will be revealed upon death, but not the power’s exact nature, nor whether that power was used prior to the player’s demise. If a player is killed before triggering his/her one-shot power, that power will be assigned to another player by the Graveyard (deceased players). The Graveyard participants are forbidden from revealing their partner(s) (if any) to each other but may otherwise discuss the game freely in the Graveyard.
Every living player of any faction is eligible to receive an unused one-shot power, but no player may hold more than one one-shot power at a time. Players with an unused one-shot power who are assigned a different unused one-shot power will have to choose which to keep; the discarded one-shot power will then be retired. Check you QTs to see if you’ve received a new power.

You vote by replying to the very first comment, appropriately titled VOTE THREAD. It is easy to find if you sort comments by oldest. To change your vote, simply post another reply. DO NOT EDIT ANY VOTE. Only votes posted as a reply to the official VOTE THREAD will count.
Note that if the vote is tied at twilight (end of day), there will be a runoff vote between the tied players, with twilight extended by one hour. If the runoff vote also results in a tie, another player besides the tied players will be randomly selected for death.
Please make at least 3 posts per game-day, or you will be replaced.
DO NOT EDIT POSTS even if you made a grammatical error that is haunting you. Rather, read through and think carefully about your comment before posting it. Editing a post may get you mod-killed, and that would be sad.
DO NOT QUOTE OR POST A SCREENSHOT FROM A QT TO THE MAIN DAY THREADS. You are free to make claims about your powers and allegiance on the day threads, but those claims will not be confirmed or denied by the moderator.
If you have questions that may reveal sensitive information, you can ask them in your personal QT. Please note that you are encouraged to ask questions about the rules of the game, how your powers work, and whatever else comes to mind.
Attack arguments, not people. Everyone has a different playing style. Be accommodating to them. Role playing is welcome but not required (though do try to be generally consistent with the setting and time period [e.g., no cell phones]). Finally, remember that it’s just a game, and have fun!
