Rumors of the Cabal’s influence in Avocado Town persist. With all its known agents presumed dead, many fear that a deeper, more menacing network of interlopers have risen in their place and infiltrated the town. They look like everyday citizens. Some of them even are. Driven against their will to do the cabal’s bidding or face consequences, the citizens now turn on each other. In addition, an unhinged fugitive is on the loose, believed to be living under a stolen identity and killing anyone who crosses their path. Who can you trust? Who do you know? How well do you know this person?
This is Werewolves XXVI: Coercion
BASIC SETUP
– The game is split up into 2 teams. Town (Citizens) and Mafia (the Cabal)
– All players will be grouped into pairs
– Citizens don’t know who each other are and need to find out while voting to execute one player at the end of each day phase
– Citizens don’t know who they’re paired with
– The Cabal, on the other hand, knows who each other are and share a group QT
– The Cabal knows all the pairings in the game
– During each night phase, the Cabal selects a player and coerces them into killing another player of his/her choice from a kill-list
– If the selected player refuses to act, their partner is nightkilled instead
– The kill-list is made up of players who received a vote at any point during the previous day phase (this includes players who had all votes against them retracted)
– If the kill-list as defined above has less than 3 players in it, the list is expanded to include all players
– The Cabal will try and trick you into voting for your fellow Citizen as they know who each other are
– It’s a game of survival and debate at its core, where your beliefs can make you suspicious or help lead you to victory
