The H4 Day Thread (05/06)

Well, here it is, probably the last of these “H” headers. As much as we’ve all enjoyed them, the truth is that there’s not much to work with the higher the number gets. HTML heading tags do go up to <h6> and that was basically what inspired this series, but in the end it wasn’t really about the HTML; it was about the other H-things we met along the way. Enough talk, let’s go…

Is there an H4 Hummer? Sort of; there is a new-ish fourth version of civilian Humvee, the GMC Hummer EV, which began production in 2021 and has two variants: SUV and truck. Statistically, this is the Hummer that is most likely to be driven by Avocados[citation needed] but it isn’t specifically called the “H4”.

Another H4 is Henry IV, famously the title character of two of Shakespeare’s plays. The Bard references King Henry IV of England, but there are lots of fourth-edition kings and other nobles named Henry in European history–sixteen of them, eighteen if we count a couple of Heinrichs (Heinrich IV, Prince Reuss of Köstritz, is incidentally by far the most recent person in the category, having lived until 2012).

Finally, our musical selection is the album Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock. Here’s the first of its four tracks, “Chameleon”:

Editor’s Note: Subsequent to publication of the previous installment in this series, it came to light that Helm Hammerhand–a famous king of Rohan in Tolkien’s Middle-earth, re: Helm’s Deep–was neglected in the H3 Day Thread. Apologies for the oversight.

<h4>Have a good day!</h4>
