This week’s new Scrubs episode, “My Story,” was co-written by revival showrunner Aseem Batra and Mariam Girgis and directed by Michael Spiller.
I didn’t realize until earlier this week that Batra, who wrote for the original Scrubs, played the role of Fun-Size Intern. I only mildly remember her character. She had a cartoonishly high-pitched voice, which I don’t remember. The invaluable Scrubs Wiki states that Fun-Size Intern’s real name was Josephine, and she and Ronald—a.k.a. “Snoop Dogg Attending,” because Zach Braff thought Manley Henry, the extra who played him, looked like Snoop Dogg—became a couple.
From the seventh-season Scrubs episode “My Hard Labor,” here’s the future showrunner of one of the best revivals of a beloved single-camera comedy speaking like Charlie Brown’s little sister on helium.
