Flushed Away is celebrating its 20th anniversary. It was the first DreamWorks movie to have a Happy Meal promotion, following the restaurant chain’s contract with Disney expiring. As part of the deal, DreamWorks produced brand new animation for every commercial in the campaign, and sometimes the big name voices would even return to help serve small hamburgers. So I’m pretty sure that’s Ian McKellen as the hilariously evil Toad here, reaching out of the movie screen to…steal toys of rodents, who he can’t stand. Huh. Maybe Toad’s a larper.

I did get a few of these, but sadly don’t have the whole set. I did get Roddy, though. Roddy had a compass in his stomach, which is a reference to a deleted scene in which he accidentally swallowed a compass and then died. But really, why is he a compass? And why is he so happy about it?

Have the power tonight, y’all! Be safe, be well, be you!
