Optional Discussion Topic: Crises

Often the bulk of a story’s plot – or at least the climax – is the characters dealing with a crisis, whether major, like a bomb or a threat to world safety, or relatively minor, like a cheating spouse or an injured or dying person. As in real life, how we deal with a crisis shows our characters. Some of us are cool under pressure, and some of us fall apart. What sort of crises do you write about, and how do your characters react?
