It has been, truthfully, not a great past week for the National Football League. There’s everything to do with the Eagles/Jalen Hurts situation, the fact that as I type this they’re STILL doing a game in Paris as local riots continue, and just injuries in general. But also look at this week’s games. Ew. I suppose the late window and night games are interesting. And we are spared the Cowboys until Monday night.

So let’s think about the smaller things. Can the Jets establish they are a hungry, if not particularly good team and do the work against an awful Dolphins team? Or will they just roll over and let another undeserving winless team finally achieve, err…success? How about the Vikings? Will they play to the level of the hapless Colts, who deserved to be disbanded after losing to the Titans? Firing their GM wasn’t enough for such a hapless game. Will the Vikings defense rearrange Daniel Jones’ entire spine?
