This is the Sportacados Discussion Thread, for talking about all things sports! Feel free to live-chat games, talk about the latest news and rumours, discuss sports history, and anything else that relates to watching other grown adults throw or hit a ball. News & Results

• Gael Monfils has pulled out of the Paris Masters event, and has been listed officially as a retired player, marking a quiet farewell to the tennis world. Monfils was one of the biggest entertainers on the tour and was known as a fan favourite player, in addition to reaching two Major semifinals and three Masters finals.
• Week 5 in the NFL was a wild one, with a lot of back-and-forth games, two overtimes, and one tie. The Rams lost in overtime to the Bills and promptly fired their “Thicker Kicker” Harrison Mevis, as poor special teams continue to cost them. Maybe the strangest occurrence was the case of former top draft pick Marvin Harrison Jr., who the Arizona Cardinals were reported to trade on Saturday, but requested that reporters didn’t state the destination. NFL reporters, always adversarial and independent, obeyed (it was to Houston.)
• The LA Dodgers’ attempt at a three-peat would seem to be in jeopardy, as the team fell down 2-0 in the NLCS to the Milwaukee Brewers despite the efforts of their recent acquisition Tarik Skubal and ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto. You certainly can’t count the Dodgers out though, especially with 3 home games coming up. The ALCS is currently tied 1-1 between Tampa Bay and Cleveland, after a costly error by Jose Ramirez in last night’s game.
