This is part of a series of mini-reviews of The Police’s studio albums, ranked worst to best. (Don’t worry; I’ll keep them short.)

#4: Ghost In The Machine.

I feel really bad ranking this as their second worst album, because it’s great. But one of their records had to be in this spot, and Ghost is a little too synthesizer heavy to be one of their best works, IMO.

BEST SONGS: Spirits In The Material World, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Invisible Sun, Rehumanize Yourself, Secret Journey.

WORST SONGS: There really aren’t any.

Fun Fact: In 2022, the band released an “Alternative Version” of this record, with the songs rearranged and three extra tracks included (I Burn For You, Once Upon A Daydream, and Shambelle). It’s streaming, if you’re interested. I do like the green numerals more than the red ones.
